The Benefits of Antioxidant Supplements for Dogs

If your pet suffers from allergies or skin problems, immune disorders, respiratory or cardiovascular diseases,
eye disorders such as failing vision or cataracts, or general problems associated with aging,
an antioxidant supplement may reduce the cellular damage done by free radicals and help return your dog to a state of good health.

Antioxidants play a Key Role in Preventing Disease

Research has found that dogs that are given antioxidant supplements—such as vitamins A, C and E, selenium and alpha lipoic acid—have a stronger immune system and are able to fight disease and infection more easily than animals who eat a highly processed diet deficient in these nutrients.
Antioxidant supplementation is especially important for animals that are being treated for cancer or have other diseases that compromise their immune systems.

Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs helps to repair, rebuild and renew your dog’s cartilage.
All dogs - no matter what their size - tend to lose the natural flexibility in their joints as they age.
They get stiff, they get arthritis, and they get hip dysplasia – along with all the discomfort these can bring.
Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs has been shown to reduce and eliminate this discomfort.
It is one of the primary building blocks of cartilage and has shown to work in three ways by:

Neutralising destructive enzymes found within all joint cartilage.
Providing the natural building blocks to synthesise new cartilage.
Increasing the uptake of fluid into the joints to improve joint lubrication.

What Is it made of ?

Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs is a natural ingredient that falls into the same category as vitamins.
It is not a pain killer.
And this is a very good thing for your dog.
Pain killers - such as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and Rimadyl -
can upset your dog’s stomach, inflame your dog’s liver and even become addictive.
Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs produces none of these side-effects and complications.

How does it work?

Glucosamine

The compound glucosamine exists in healthy cartilage. It is an important component in the body's
ability to make proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans (GAG's) which are compounds of cartilage.
Normally, as the body moves, cartilage is worn away and reshaped.
At rest, it resumes its normal shape and restores itself.
If glucosamine levels are low, the repair process is slowed down.
Taking glucosamine supplements can increase the body's production of
proteoglycans and GAG's dramatically and improve the natural repair process.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin is actually chondroitin sulphate and is one of the glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).
Molecules of chondroitin sulphate blend with proteins to make proteoglycans.
Proteoglycans are essential to all connective tissue in the body such as cartilage,
ligaments and tendons.
Chondroitin supplements appear to increase the hyaluronic acid,
an important part of the synovial fluid which is what lubricates joints.
It also decreases pain and swelling.

Frequently asked questions about our products

A: “Growth” foods necessary at the puppy stage have higher protein levels and calorie counts to meet your pup's developmental needs.
But once your pup is six to 12 months old those needs change.
That's usually when your puppy is nearing his adult height and can transition to adult food.

A: In general, the larger a dog is, the earlier they are considered a senior. While the largest dogs generally enter their senior years around 6 years old, small breeds may not be considered to be seniors until age 10. Older dogs have different needs than younger dogs

A: Puppy foods already contain high levels of calcium, and too much calcium can be harmful to them.
It will affect bone growth and development, and can leave your dog with bone density problems.

A: Switching your dog's food abruptly can cause gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, diarrhea, and a decreased appetite.
Any time you decide to change your dog's food, you should transition to the new diet gradually in order to give your dog's system time to adjust to the change.
